The purpose of this site is to provide insight into the daily workings of the oilfield for people outside the industry, to provide training material for people inside the industry and to highlight energy news which is important to everyone.  Coming soon will be a geology page which identifies rock formations encountered while drilling wells, and a photo page of drilling operations.

This site is wholly maintained and financed by the Mudblogger himself, and the opinions herein are his own.  I do not pretend to speak for the oil and gas industry and am sure they wouldn’t agree with many of my opinions.  I intend to push alternative energy as hard as one man can because the U.S. needs to wean itself off foreign oil as a matter of the utmost importance.  We are selling our country one gallon of gasoline at a time and it must stop.
